National Enterprise Network is proud to support Get Mentoring, the ground breaking project which will unlock, train and support a whole new community of business mentors in the UK.
As the membership body for those committed to the support and development of enterprise, National Enterprise Network has 100 locally based enterprise support organisations in its membership, providing independent and impartial advice, training and mentoring to new and emerging businesses. National Enterprise Network is working with this membership base across the nine English regions in order to promote and train new mentors.
To become a mentor working with a National Enterprise Network member you must first be able to prove that you have the required skills, knowledge and experience. We don’t want to discourage mentors, or put unnecessary barriers in the way of potential mentors, but we need to be sure that you have the key skills required to mentor other people at the crucial stages of starting, running and growing their own business.
To help you, SFEDI have put together a training workshop which will provide you with an overview of the skills and knowledge we would expect a mentor to have, which through our membership we are delivering free of charge to all those prepared to volunteer their time to help other business owners and managers as part of the national Get Mentoring initiative.
